Castellaneta Marina, in the Province of Taranto, was founded less than fifty years ago, in order to respond to the need to redevelop this swampy area, and in order to create access to the splendid stretch of forest that characterizes this coast for 10 km.
Still today, the historical Aleppo pines can be found along the waterfront. The entire coast is enriched by amusement parks, discos, shopping centres, golf courses, horseback riding centres, hotels, and restaurants, in order to make stays here even more enjoyable to the tourists and residents who are already attracted by the splendid crystal-clear sea and fine sand.
